why JESUS

Jesus changes everything.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man. Jesus—Israel's promised Messiah—was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

(See Matthew 1:21; John 1:14, 18; 1:1; Hebrews 5:7-8; John 3:13; Genesis 3:14-20; Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:34, 35; Hebrews 4:15; Matthew 27:26; 28:1-10; Luke 24:51; Hebrews 1:3; 2:17; Romans 8:34)

SALVATION

“If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
To be saved is to submit to God and His purpose for our lives. It is a decision to turn from our old ways and turn toward Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.

There is nothing you can do to earn salvation; is a free gift from God and in return we are adopted into His kingdom and called His sons and daughters. Our life's purpose changes from living for ourselves to living a life that reflects the love of Jesus to the rest of the world.

When you believe and accept Jesus as your personal savior, you are saved. Your salvation can not be retracted- you are forever seen by God as a part of His family.

Ephesians 1:13-14 says, "And now you have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised [eternal life] and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him."

If you know that you need Jesus in your life to save you from your imperfection, striving, or shame, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender.

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You are the son of God who died for my sins and rose from the dead. I choose now to turn from my sins and every part of my life that does not please you. I receive Your forgiveness and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
