SERVE TEAMS

Our team provides the essentials for weekend services including prayer, communion, and ushers. This team also has opportunities to serve during the week with occasional hospital visitations, Saint on Standby service teams, and more.

This team invests in the lives of children through worship, Biblical teaching, videos, Small Groups, and games. There are various roles on this team including, Check-in, Small Group Leader, Bible Teachers, Worship Leader, Nursery, and Greeters. Background check is required.

We work behind the scenes during the week to provide all internal and external communication including, graphics, videos, photography, social media, website management, church-wide emails, content creation, and many other visual elements.

This hands on team works behind the scenes to support every area of our church and make sure the facilities are maintained and running smoothly. This includes, preparing the campus for Sunday worship, safety & security, and routine maintenance and facility work.

Hospitality brings a personal touch to our worship experiences by making people feel invited in from the moment they walk in the doors. We create a warm environment by greeting at the doors, welcoming newcomers, and providing space for people to take their next steps in engaging in relationships, this church, and their faith at the Connect Center.

AOCITY
This team serves in various capacities within local missions. Our local missions are focused on serving and reaching the city of Austin through evangelism and service through partnerships with Church Under the Bridge, Jail to Jobs, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and many more!

GLOBAL MISSIONS
Our Global Missions team creates relationships with ministries around the world like Operation Christmas Child, Rio Bravo Ministries, Africa New Life, as well as, our supported missionaries. This team also meets regularly to plan how to support these partnerships through events, trips, and financial assistance.

Leaders of all ages help disciple the next generation of believers but walking alongside them on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Our Leadership team meets with students on Wednesday nights to create relationships with students, lead bible studies for a small group of guys or girls, and be a present leader that can ultimately engage in conversations that point students to Jesus! As well as Wednesday nights, some of this team also attends retreats & conferences, lead worship, and shepherds Middle School students on Sunday mornings.

Our Small Group leaders are trained to facilitate small groups and equipped to build relationships while helping group members grow in their understanding and love for Jesus.On this team, you can either be a host or a group leader. Hosts open their homes and provide the space to meet whereas group leaders focus on preparing and leading the group is discussion.

The Tech & Production team exists to support the ministries of AOC by providing clarity of expression through the use of technology. As a member of our team, you’ll be helping the leaders on stage communicate with the congregation in worship to God and in sharing His Word. This is done through mixing audio, operating our camera system, overseeing our projection, or creating an atmosphere through lighting. We serve together primarily on Sunday mornings and occasionally during other events put on by AOC. No experience is needed, we just ask for a willingness to learn and train alongside the rest of our team!

Our team facilitates a powerful worship experience through vocals, instruments, and other visual elements. We also have a team who plans and hosts the VAM Gallery, our annual art exhibition.
