GROUPS

God designed us for community. Whether you feel like a “people-person” or not, we all need each other.
Each of our groups is unique, but all gather to engage with people, God’s Word, and Jesus for the purpose of life transformation.

small GROUPS

At Austin Oaks, we believe that following Jesus in authentic relationships
with others is key to life transformation.

That’s why we have Small Groups; to find community where we can safely meet, know, and follow Jesus together.

SPECIALIZED GROUPS

MEN'S MINISTRY

The Men’s Ministry at Austin Oaks Church equips men of all ages to be disciples who are fully alive to God and his purposes. Through Bible studies, retreats and special events, we aim to be men after God’s own heart and provide opportunities for community and fellowship, with a good portion of fun along the way!

“Why do bad things happen to good people?”

This is easily the most asked question about God and the Christian faith. Yet there is no better man to provide an answer than Job. The Bible recognizes Job as an upright, righteous man, yet he suffered a number of traumatic events instigated by Satan but allowed by God. After reading only the first chapter of his book many are left confused about God’s justice given the evidence that Job was a very righteous man.

As followers of Jesus, we were never promised a life without suffering or hardship. In addition, one could argue that followership is a guarantee that we will encounter trials and tribulations along the way. James 1:2 supports this perspective as the author writes: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.”

Our Fall study is titled The Book of Job by Vince Miller.
In this book for men, author Vince Miller shows Christian men how to apply the story of Job to their own lives, as they encounter suffering and hardships.

Fall Study begins November 2
Meets every Wednesday evening at 7PM in the CLC Triple Room (CLC105-107). This study will be great for AOC Men. 5 Sessions. Video study followed by small group discussions. Coffee, beverages, snacks and (sometimes a meal) included. Every man is welcome!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

AOC Women’s Ministry exists to empower, equip, and engage women of all generations through weekly Bible studies, social events, and retreats. Come join us as we create spaces where women can be real and authentic, share each other's burdens, become women of prayer, and go deeper with God.

Winter Bible Study
God of Deliverance
By Jen Wilkin

Join us in January for a study of Exodus 1-18. Most know the story of Israel’s exodus out of slavery – the Hebrew people being delivered from bondage to freedom so they could worship the one true God. Jen shows us that Israel’s story is our story, and the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those he loves from slavery to sin and the pharaohs of the world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land he has prepared, where we dwell with I AM and worship him as the one true God.
